People are talking a lot about hope these days, and we should. Hope is a necessary spiritual tool for all times, but maybe especially times like these. People are talking a lot about love, too, and resolve and determination. Yes and yes and yes. A word that doesn't seem to be quite as much in conversation these days, though, is "confidence." This Sunday we begin this year's Season of Giving, and this season's theme is "Reclaiming Confidence in a Time of Woe." Join us to reflect on what confidence means and why it so deeply matters as we step into this holy time of discerning how to support our church in the coming year.
