Spiritual technology. This may sound like a contradiction in terms. "Spiritual" is a word that points to things that are mysterious and internal. Whereas "technology" seems to point us to actual materia, external things that are unmysteriously real. However, if we look at the ancient sense of both of these words, we see that they have much more in common than we might think. This Sunday we consider what it means to engage the crafts, skills, and techniques designed to shape us at a fundamental level, looking at one specific tool people have used and re-used for millennia.
